Featured Internship: The Emma L. Bowen Foundation
The Emma L. Bowen Foundation for Minority Interest in Media is a partnership of media companies (ABC, CBS, NBC, WB, Comcast Communications, Discovery Communications, ESPN, C-SPAN, Clear Channel Communications, etc.) whose primary mission is to "change the face of the media industry" through direct work experience and professional development. Since their inception in 1989, they have placed hundreds of high school and college students in media internships and have hundreds of graduates working in media companies full-time.
They recruit minority high school students (rising juniors, seniors) and college freshman for PAID summer internships at media (television, cable, radio) companies all across the country.
Eligible candidates must have a 3.0 GPA or higher, plan to attend a 4-year college, and have an interest in the media. Selected candidates will be paid and they will also earn scholarship dollars to help pay for college expenses.
